Positive Difference Maker

Now and again, I review and thank God for the people who’ve made a positive difference in my life.  In many ways, I stand on and have been shaped by the love, friendship, wisdom, and different perspectives God shared with me through them.

People who’ve believed in, challenged, prayed for, encouraged, pushed, helped, and given me opportunity. The list is considerable. I am humbled, grateful, and moved in God’s and their presence to be a person that God also uses to bless others.

I’ll bet you’ve got people, too!  Take some time, right now, to review, update, reflect on, and thank God for them.  You’ll have a similar motivating experience!

That’s how the Almighty, all-knowing, servant-hearted God revealed in the Bible chooses to work– through the faith and courage of unique, grace-needing, imperfect people like us all!  Exodus reminds us that God Makes a World of Difference working in and working through the lives of us humans!

In spite of oppressive circumstances, look at how God empowered the Hebrew midwives, a mother-daughter team, a perhaps childless princess, and a man from two different households and cultures.

Let’s be inspired to make a difference wherever God has us! 🙂

In all the Israelites’ hard labor,
the Egyptians used them ruthlessly…
The midwives, however feared God and
did not do what the king of Egypt had
told them to do; they let the boys live…
The princess opened the basket and saw the baby.
He was crying and she felt sorry for him, she said,
“This is one of the Hebrew babies…”
