As I entered the room, a repeated beeping sound made my head hurt.  The UPS (uninterrupted power supply) for our electronic stuff was sharing its unhappiness for the second time in a week. Power fluctuations & outages during the big snow and bitter cold a few weeks earlier had clearly taxed it pretty hard. It only showed 1 of 5 bars of capacity and was stuck there.

Apparently, my quick cycling of the on/off switch a few days earlier hadn’t been effective. Without a manual and wondering if the battery or whole unit would need to be replaced; I almost gave it a good kick! Thankful for restraint, I instead completely unplugged it for a time.

Upon re-plugging, a satisfying thing began to happen. Battery capacity climbed steadily to near full capacity by the end of the day. Also, the symptoms of depletion (beeping & 20% capacity) went away, too!

You might be thinking, “Are you talking about a UPS or something or someone much bigger and closer?” Yes!

Jesus:  “Come to me all you who are weary
and burdened and I will give you rest…”             -Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus: “Come with me by yourselves
to a quiet place and get some rest…”                  -Mark 6:31-32

Jesus: “Whoever drinks the water I give
will never thirst…it will become a spring
of water within, welling up to eternal life.”        -John 4:14

Let’s look to Jesus, resetting to more than we can imagine!
