Beautiful Game

Stumbled upon a Netflix movie called, The Beautiful Game… I liked it and you might, too.  As the name implies, it does involve some soccer, but it’s more about seeing the value of each human being (rough edges, struggles, missteps, traumas, and all…) and how renewal can be found in accepting, teaming with, and looking out for one another.

The characters and their stories are based on real people who’ve participated in the annual Homeless World Cup tournament over its 20 years. What?  Yeah, I didn’t know it was a thing either!

Check it out and enjoy the coach, players, and uber-competitive nun from South Africa!  You might even see similarities to your story and yourself in the mix.  As Jesus did and calls us to do, let’s love God with all ourselves and love our neighbor as ourselves!
