Love Better

Welcome to 2026, where Jesus still offers God’s everlasting love to everyone, giving us power to live above our fears, weak selfishness, & undue pride!

So, I got some insight from an energetic, canine member of our family who visited this week- affectionately known as Felix, Moppet, or “30 lbs of Wiggle”! This dog absolutely is always delighted to see & be 100% present with you. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been apart 2-3 months or merely out of the room for 5 minutes. You’ll be greeted with the same energy & full-body wiggle!

What if Felix’s passion for full engagement is a limited reflection of God’s greater love of, delight in, and passion for us humans? What if God, who’s ever-present  and knows & loves us completely, is always 100% ready to embrace us with delight when we turn toward him and “re-enter the room” so to speak?

It’s far from a perfect analogy, I know, but the Bible reveals God to be a relational being whose love for us pursues, lasts forever, and sacrifices generously on our behalf. Also, accounts of Jesus show a purposed person who frequently & enthusiastically came alongside & connected with persons from all walks of life.

Jesus invited them to trust & follow him in order to love better in life’s relationships & responsibilities- finding & bringing forth fulfillment as they were fully present to God & others in faith today, tomorrow, and forever! Let’s get to it!
